Unaffiliated Voters Seeking to Affiliate with a Party
A lot of people who think they are a registered Independent are actually registered as Unaffiliated. If you are registered to vote and have selected to be “unaffiliated” to a political party, you will need to change your party affiliation in order to vote in the Democratic primary. You have until noon the day before the primary election to change your registration.
Voters Seeking to Change their Party Affiliation
If you are registered to vote and are affiliated with another party, i.e. Republican or Independent, but wish to vote in the primary of another party, you will need to change your affiliation in order to vote in that party’s primary. You must change your affiliation by May 14, 2018 (3 months before the primary election).
